  • How can I make my tyres last longer?

Proper maintenance is an important task when it comes to your tyres. You'll save time and money in the long run and be safer on the roads. Firstly, you should regularly check the air pressure, making sure they are evenly inflated to the manufacturers' recommended psi. You can also have our team perform a wheel alignment or tyre rotation. This prevents uneven wear, so you can go longer before buying new tyres.

  • What are some signs I need new tyres?

Aside from a visual inspection of the wear indicators on your tyre tread, you may notice some other signs that you need a new set, including:

    • Tyres make excessive road noise
    • Poor handling in the rain
    • Rougher/bumpier ride than usual
    • Quickly losing air pressure
  • How often should I change my brake fluid?

As an estimate, you should aim to change your brake fluid every 50,000 kilometres or 3 years, depending on the model of your car and the environment. Refer to your car's maintenance schedule for manufacturer's recommendations.

  • Why do I need to change the brake fluid?

Over time moisture from the air can find its way into the sealed system and contaminate it. Water in brake fluid lowers its boiling point. This can reduce the effectiveness of brakes in hot conditions and potentially lead to internal corrosion or overheating. Flushing and replacing the fluid ensures your brakes are operating a peak efficiency.

  • How do I know if my car needs a wheel alignment?

There are a few tell-tale symptoms that indicate your wheels are out of alignment. These include:

    • Vehicle pulls to one side while driving
    • Steering wheel not centred
    • Abnormal or uneven tire wear
    • Steering wheel doesn't return to centre
    • Handling feels loose

If you've noticed any of these issues, contact your local mechanic for an inspection.
